Unter Landschaftspflegeholz werden holzartige Landschaftspflegematerialien aus öffentlichen oder privaten Baum-/ Hecken- und Strauchschnitt verstanden die bei der Straßengehölz- und Gewässerrandpflege, auf Friedhöfen, in öffentlichen Grünanlagen, in der freien Landschaft und teilweise auch in der Landwirtschaft anfallen. Es weist sehr unterschiedliche Wassergehalte zwischen 35 und 60 Gew.-% auf, wobei hier mit einem mittleren Wassergehalt von 42% gerechnet wird.
